St. Bernard's RC Primary & Nursery School

A Voluntary Academy

Curriculum OVERVIEW

At St Bernard's we have a connected curriculum which is a thematic approach to delivering and covering the curriculum.  We are very proud of our unique 'Connectors' and feel we provide children with not only the knowledge but the skills to be life-long learners.

We prioritise reading. Children read widely and often across all subjects and are introduced to high quality texts throughout the curriculum.

We are taking on the Cultural Education Challenge and our curriculum provides our pupils with a wealth of cultural opportunities.
